Do I need to send in my charger to receive the charm?
NO, you will receive the charm as long as you send the handset. Although you may include chargers and other accessories for recycling if you wish. Any phone(s) or accessories, working or non-functional are accepted.
What is a phone charm?
A phone charm is a little bit of bling that you can hang from your cell phone, signifying that you have gotten involved with The RE*Generation - Virgin Mobile's effort to help a generation help its own. One side of the charm has The Re*Generation logo, with a user-generated version of The RE*Generation graphic on the other side.
Check out www.virginmobileusa.com/regeneration for more information on Virgin Mobile's charitable initiative.
Can I send in more than one phone at a time?
Yes, but you must register each phone separately and include a copy of the shipping label for each phone within your package. Only one shipping label needs to be affixed to the outside of your package.
How do I get the charm?
You click here www.virginmobileusarecycle.com and enter in your information, including your address. As soon as your recycled phone is received, we will send the charm to you.
When should phones be sent in?
Phones can be sent in at any time, but charm supplies are limited so to receive your charm please package and mail phones promptly with the postage-paid shipping label provided.
Where do the phones go and what happens to them?
We attempt to refurbish each phone and provide it to people who are in need of a mobile phone, at a reduced price. If you send in a Virgin Mobile phone, we attempt to refurbish it and provide it to a new Virgin Mobile customer. This is re-use - the highest form of recycling. If we can't re-use the phone you send in, then we'll recycle it in an environmentally correct way.

Who should
send in a phone?
Any individual, group, company or organization can
participate in cell phone recycling with any number
of phones and accessories.
Should I do anything to my phone before I send
it in?
We recommend that you remove any personal information
and deactivate your wireless service for each phone
before you send it in.
Why should phones be recycled?
Your old mobile phone is an earthly treasure. An
estimated 500 million dead phones are just sitting
around in drawers, closets and who knows where else.
Less than 10% get recycled. By recycling your old
phone(s), you'll be helping the environment, and
also help young people in need. 100% of Virgin Mobile's
profits from the recycling program will go to The
RE*Generation charitable partners. Through The RE*Generation
movement, Virgin Mobile is connecting youth in need
to youth who want to make a difference. Check out
more about The RE*Generation and our non-profit
partners YouthNoise and StandUp For Kids, by clicking
here: www.virginmobileusa.com/regeneration.
Recycle your phone. Help others. Help our planet.
Feel proud.
What is the difference between recycling a phone
and re-using it?
A re-used phone is the highest form of recycling.
Personal information is removed and the phone is
packaged and sold to someone who cannot afford a
new phone. Recycling a phone means that the phone
is taken apart and the metals, plastics and components
are separated and melted down to make other products,
such as playground equipment. Both are environmentally
friendly ways to handle your old phone.
